The library at Winchester Cathedral features a number of notable manuscripts in addition to the 12th century Winchester Bible, which has been microfilmed in colour. These include a late 10th century version of Bede’s Historia and a beautiful early 12th century manuscript of Augustine’s Tractates on St. Johns Gospel containing the Anathema, a curse on anyone who takes the book away from Winchester.
